Do we work for the police?
We do not work for the police or any other service. We are in partnership with many mutli-disciplinary services e.g. probation, youth offending teams, police etc. However, we do not pass on any information to the police and/or any other services and partners. We are obliged by law to share information that heightens the risk of a threat to the life of our client or that of someone else. An Information Sharing Protocol is agreed with every partnership that we are part of; equally all partners have to abide by our Confidentiality Policy as well as the Data Protection Act (1998). We maintain that we are here to engage and advocate for the client group - we work for and on behalf of them.
